This notice covers the kalle.works site and messages sent to us. The controller is kalle.works Oy (business ID 3133717-5), Espoo, Finland. You can reach us at kalle@kalle.works. The games have their own privacy policies.

Visitor counts from page requests

When our server sends you a page, it tells our monitoring system that the page was requested. This includes the page address (the path and the names of any parameters, not their values), campaign tags, the site that referred you, the status code, your browser and operating system versions, your device type and your country.

Your IP address and browser are combined with a secret to make a daily and a weekly identifier. The secret is deleted later, and the IP address itself is not stored. A deleted secret stays in database backups until those backups expire.

Nothing runs on your device or is stored on it for this, so we do not ask for consent. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how many people use the site and where they come from (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the page is not counted. Visits from search engines and other bots are counted separately.

Individual events are kept for 90 days and aggregated statistics for 400 days. The system runs in our own environment on Hetzner servers in Finland.

Messages to us

When you email us, we handle your name, address and the content of your message to reply and deal with the matter. The basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages, or preparing and managing a customer relationship.

We keep messages for as long as the matter requires. If a message leads to a customer relationship, we keep the data for the duration of that relationship and for the period Finnish accounting law requires. Other messages are deleted within two years.

Our email runs on Google Workspace. Google may also process data outside the EU and EEA under its own data processing terms.

Delivering the site

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles your IP address and other request data to deliver and protect the page. The site sets no cookies and runs no JavaScript in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and you can object to its processing. We do not link visitor identifiers to individuals, so this mainly concerns your messages. Send your request to kalle@kalle.works. You can also file a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
